  1. Thanks for sharing this, Johnston!

This is a great moment for Silvestrov new recordings. ECM just released Hieroglyphen der Nacht, with his solo cello music.

  2. Your blog is is outstanding and your taste is impeccable, and lossless shares are greatly appreciated. But why four links for an album when one will suffice? And with third-party services like Mega and Mediafire (for the moment) so much more efficient and convenient on the downloader's end. It's kind of a pain downloading these discs from these particular services you use, at least in so many parts. Magical Journey blog has an extremely annoying pop-up ad scheme, but his use of single links via Mega is incredibly easy and fast to use. Could you move in this direction? I don't want to sound like an ingrate, but improving ease-of-access would make your blog flat-out perfect. If the reason is a payment scheme, that's a terrible reason to share music....that really does move into straight-up piracy; but surely that has nothing at all to do with your decision. This blog seems like a labour of love, unfortunately with one major logistical snag.

    1. Hi there, I know that there are other fileservers available, all of them with pros and cons. I made my choice a long time ago and I stick to them. I'm not into this for the money. If that was the fact I would have chosen an other subject for my blog. However, I want to be honest. To run my blog it's convenient to have a premium fileserver-account and since I'm not willing to pay for premium myself I also chose these fileservers because they pay me just enough to buy me premium.
PS 1 there are others users here who like the fact that I split the files and that you can download them from different fileservers. I think it just depend on personal situation and taste.
PS 2 Enjoy the music :-)

  3. I fully subscribe to grasprelease's points. This is an outstanding blog, which I can very rarely benefit from. The fileservers you use provide extremely slow download speeds and not simultaneous downloads (for free access). That means that usually, for a CD I would need to "actively" hang around for a couple of hours, which seldom I can do.

You obviously have your reasons, and it is your blog, and your work, so this is not a moan. But it won't got to waste if it makes you consider in the future that there might be better solutions.

Other than that, as I said, it is a fantastic blog.
